Talk with us about the Moncrieff local centre

We know local centres work best when they reflect how people actually use them day to day. That’s why we’re inviting the community to talk with us about the proposed Moncrieff local centre, to check whether the design reflects what matters most and to understand whether there’s anything we should consider as the site continues to evolve.

This page outlines the different ways you can be involved. Whether you prefer to drop in for a quick chat, join us online, or share your thoughts in writing, we welcome your input.

What these conversations are about

The proposed design has been shaped by earlier community feedback and Woolworths’ vision for a practical, well‑designed local centre. At this stage, we’re keen to hear whether you feel the proposal:

  • reflects the priorities raised in earlier community conversations
  • feels like a good fit for Moncrieff and its surroundings
  • responds well to access, safety, parking and everyday use
  • has addressed key considerations around nearby schools, streets and open space
  • leaves anything important unaddressed.

You don’t need to be an expert or have a fully formed view, even early reactions and practical observations are helpful

Ways to share your thoughts

We’re offering a few different ways to join the conversation, so you can take part in a way that suits you.

In person drop in information session

A casual, come‑and‑go session where you can:

  • Ask questions of the project team
  • Share feedback or raise matters you’d like us to consider.

Location: Moncrieff Recreational Park
Date: To be confirmed
Time: To be confirmed

Online drop in session

If you’re unable to attend in person, we’ll also host an online session. This will include:

  • A short overview of the proposal
  • An opportunity to ask questions
  • Space to share feedback in real time

Format: Online (MS Teams)
Date and time: To be confirmed – RSVP via Eventbrite

Online survey

If you prefer to share your thoughts in writing, a short online survey is available. It takes around five minutes and focuses on:

  • How you use local shops and services
  • What feels important in a neighbourhood centre
  • Whether the proposal reflects local priorities

Community meeting

We also joined the July 2026 Gungahlin Community Council meeting to talk about the proposal and hear questions from the community.

Meeting details: You can access a recording of this meeting via the Gungahlin Community Council Facebook page.

What happens next?

All feedback received through these channels will be reviewed and considered as the project progresses. While not every suggestion can be accommodated, hearing different perspectives helps test assumptions, identify opportunities and ensure the proposal is responsive to local context.

We’ll continue to update this website as the project progresses and as more information becomes available.

Can’t attend or have something specific to share?

You’re welcome to get in touch with the project team at any time:

Feedback@communicationlink.com.au

We’ll respond during business hours.
